The Old Deanston Workers Cottage

Positive: Die Wohnung an sich ist geräumig, stilvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Die alten Mietshäuser der Arbeiter direkt neben der Whisky-Destillerie haben einen schönen, ganz eigenen Charme. Allerdings bräuchte die Wohnung mal ein Refreshing, da einige Dinge nicht mehr ganz so schön sind (siehe unten). Betten unserer Ansicht nach etwas zu weich. Sehr gute Lage für Ausflüge nach Stirling, Edinburgh usw. (mit dem Auto). Gastgeber sehr freundlich. Negative: Das mit den nicht sauberen Fenstern und dem Schimmel an der Decke im Badezimmer müssen wir leider bestätigen. Auch wäre etwas mehr Geschirr und Besteck und nicht nur genau für 4 Leute abgezählt, sehr schön. Die Gastgeber haben versprochen, den Tiefkühlschrank, der vereist und schmutzig war, reinigen zu lassen. Wir hatten auch das Gefühl, dass es leicht nach Cannabis und Rauch riecht...

significant difference between the presentation and reality Positive: The surroundings were quiet and relaxing. We had fun with our 5 years old son next to the river. Negative: There was a persistent smell of mold in the house, especially at the entrace and in the bathroom. In the pictures is quite clear how bad was the bathroo. Judging by the color and the unevenness, and the creaking, the floor had been flooded. Due to the lack of external cleanliness, the windows were full of cobwebs and in some places almost opaque. The cookware, in some cases, was extremely burnt and worn out. There was a significant discrepancy between the images presented and the worn appearance of the property.

Positive: Good size space . Negative: Couldn't use the garden which was overgrown. Hard to see which bit belongs to who in garden,no chairs to sit on outside .Floorboards very creaky.Felt too empty,not enough furnishings. Kitchen cupboard doors and table need sorting, as they have marks and peeling paint.Noisy neighbours downstairs which also emit a certain smell.Mould on the bathroom ceiling. Property needs some attention to bring it upto the standard stated.

A very welcoming stay. Positive: It was comfy, a good location for days out. Park and ride near by. Deaston distillery has an excellent cafe which is a few minutes walk away. Beds very comfortable large bedrooms with good storage. Good facilities in the kitchen, lounge a good side.

My husband and I spent two weeks in the Deanston cottage and we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. It is in an ideal setting - a quiet peaceful village, close to quaint villages and larger centres for sight-seeing and amenities. I appreciated the video and online guide and referred to it often during the first few days as we settled in. Whenever I had a question or concern, the response from the Juniper Rental team was immediate and the issue was addressed quickly. On-street parking was always readily available. We also took advantage of the 20% discount offered to guests at the Organery in the Victoria Square in Stirling. We had the Grand Tea. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was excellent. Our server was friendly and personable. They were attentive but also gave us time to enjoy our meal at a leisurely pace. I highly recommend this rental.
