Hatton Lodge Annex - Hot Tub & Garden

Beautiful lodge and location but no forward planning to mitigate cold weather conditions. Positive: Location was peaceful but close to facilities in Dunkeld. The accomodation was cosy and comfortable Great wi fi.. Negative: The hot tub pipes burst presumably because they were frozen so it was unusable. The decking which was the main access to the property was completely frozen and there was no grit or salt available. It was unsafe to walk on. Disappointing lack of care or support from hosts with regard to this.

Comfortable yet disappointing Positive: The property was in a nice location and the lodge was comfortable. Negative: The lodge was advertised as having a ‘hot tub,’ which was one of the main reasons we chose this property. Unfortunately, it was a major disappointment. We spent over five hours stoking the fire just to reach a semi lukewarm temperature, using three full bags of logs in the process. It would have been helpful if the hosts had mentioned that heating the tub would take this long especially given the cold weather and provided enough logs to actually make it usable. If you’re planning to stay here in autumn or winter, be aware that the ‘hot tub’ is unlikely to be used unless you’re prepared to spend most of a day to keeping the fire going. Another concern was the lack of visible fire safety measures in the lodge. There were no fire alarms or extinguishers that we could see, which is worrying considering the entire structure is made of wood.

Positive: Great attention, even to the smallest detail which made the stay exceptional. Negative: Can't think of anything.

Gorgeous place to stay Positive: It's super clean and very comfortable. Beautiful little house. Negative: The hot tub was a bit disappointing. Maybe cos of a windy day was hard to get it warm enough

Our stay was tranquil and perfect. The hosts were attentive and at hand during any communication. Positive: The property was spacious inside and out. It’s also off the main road so it’s lovely and quiet at all times of the day. The hot tub was absolute perfection at night time under the clear sky and stars. Negative: We had no issues with the property at all.
