The Stirling Townhouse

Positive: Townhouse was nice and quiet. Clean and comfortable. We enjoyed it. It's close to restaurants and shopping. Negative: The steps to bedroom might be a bit much if you are limited on your mobility. I didn't bring my suitcase up to bedroom. Paying for parking turned into a chore. Couldn't relax and sleep in because you had to get parking paid. Would have loved a parking pass.

Positive: Great location for walking into town centre. Good amount of space for relaxing together in lounge and kitchen. Clean & well-maintained. Nice big fridge Clear instructions re access & using facilities. Negative: Well furnished bedrooms but too warm even with window open. A lighter quilt in summer months would be better & softer mattress. Reported problem with toilet cistern flushing hot water

Very spacious apartment centrally located in Stirling! Positive: Very spacious apartment minutes from Stirling train station. We were able to walk to the Castle and easily take the train to Perth and Edinburgh for day trips. We loved the kitchen and living room. It felt like a real home. Negative: You have to go down past the kitchen level and then up a few steps to get to the bathroom. We wondered if the owners couldn't put some kind of a platform in place to make it easier in the middle of the night. We just tried to be careful and considered it a small price to be in such a lovely place.

All in All it was a good stay. Positive: The property was in a nice location to restaurants and bars. We visited the Sterling castle that afternoon and property was only a mile from the castle. It was clean and nicely decorated, the bathroom and shower was great. The kitchen was nice, but we only used the hot water pot of coffee. Negative: The bathroom was on the 2nd floor and the bedrooms were on the 3rd floor, at night you needed to negotiate a narrow set of stairs to use the facilities, this just happens to be the way the building was built. If you have an issue with stairs this might not be a good feature. The window in the smaller bedroom wouldn't open so that room didn't have good ventilation, hopefully the owner will have this fixed soon.
