Traditional but warm flat with easy tram access to town or Leith Positive: Warm and comfortable. No sense of dampness despite incessant rain recently. Good sized living room with sofa and small table top easy at. Similarly good sized North facing bedroom with comfortable bed. Curtains kept the light out. Shower spacious with good flow despite it being from a combi boiler. Easy tram ride to town (or out to Leith, but we didn't get to do that this time) Quiet in flat. Lots of easy eating places nearby. Kitchen had large pot each of instant coffee and sugar, (but no tea). Also greaseproof paper and foil. Negative: Minor niggles, that may be of concern to some people. Kitchen is tiny and has bare essentials only: saucepan (?X2), decent frying pan, 1pint measuring jug,, baking tray was an oven shelf and not very clean. There was a good selection of utensils in a pot including large spoon, fish slice, spatulas and others suitable for non-stick pans. Drawer included Paring knife and bread knife, (both blunt), garlic press (good), basic tin opener, peeler (ok) and bottle opener/ corkscrew.(ok) There is a microwave but no pots suitable to cook in We made do with cereal bowl and plate over but these were rather small for much veg. WC and sink are in a separate room from the shower and sink. Both sinks rather small - floor gets wet washing hands let alone face or trying to shave. No towel holder or hook in WC room. Bed lacked any spare electric sockets nearby for overnight charging. TV a long way from sofa (DH left distance glasses at home) Many things were rather high... I'm 5'1". Bathroom mirror, shower ride and fall bar, hooks on doors, even hob and worktops were at the high end of normal. However there was a cupboard for the electric consumer unit in the hall that repeatedly caught my other half's head (he's only 5'8")

All good. Positive: Perfect location for us. Apartment was well equipped and very clean. Negative: The entry way stairs were a bit of a challenge but the trade-off is high ceilings in the apartments.

Wonderful and comfortable stay Positive: Everything in the apartment was as described, and was a wonderful stay. It was close to public transport, and therefore made it easy to get into the city centre. Negative: The only thing that would've been nice was an extra duvet for the bed.

Great place. Centrally located within close proximity of the bus/tram stop and several Cafes and restaurants. The ne Positive: Really cosy and has a very homely feel Negative: Include slippers in the apartment as well as bathroom mats/floor towel
